In the Vineyard:
Valle Alta is located 256 metres above sea level on marlstone soil and with the perfect positioning and height to grow the Amarone grapes. An evocative wine, as described by Berto Barbarani: “How to praise the virtues of this wine, with its colours of sunrises and sunsets, as wise and eloquent as Nestore, as lyrical as Orazio and Catullo, as wistful as Aleardi and as witty as the poems of Cesare and Vittorio Betteloni?

Winemaking :
After harvesting, the grapes are carefully placed into small boxes and stored in our drying rooms. Once they have lost more than 50% of their original weight they are once again sorted by hand, then carefully pressed and fermented. The aging process takes at least 36 months in Barrique and Tonneau barrels and then at least two more years in the bottle.

Varietal:
Corvina, Rondinella & Oseleta

Tasting Notes :
An intense ruby red colour with reflections of pomegranate. Hints of red fruit jam, cherries preserved in alcohol, Marasca cherries and dried fruit, along with sweet spicy notes such as tobacco, coffee, cocoa, liquorice and nutmeg. A velvety, full-bodied, elegant and smooth yet dry taste.

Alcohol by volume: 16%
